Support is Key

The Impact of a PAC

ORMA PAC is the Political Action Committee for our trade association, the Ohio Receivables Management Association (formerly the Ohio Collectors Association). ORMA PAC, a state Political Action Committee, was created as a vehicle for our members to contribute campaign dollars collectively as opposed to individually. This gives our industry the opportunity to make larger, more impactful contributions to state legislators and other statewide candidates.

Why is it important to support at the state level?

It is essential when working with elected officials that we show our support for those who support our issues. Helping to elect and re-elect candidates who can be counted on for assistance is crucial to our success in state government.

PAC contributions are greatly appreciated by candidates for office, and they are certainly remembered long after they are given. Such contributions are investments just like others you make because doing so is planning for the future.

It’s not enough these days to simply monitor the activities of state government and provide our input. We have to support our legislative friends or risk losing our influence in guiding decisions that impact our industry.

Why should I invest my money in our PAC?

Anti-business groups are constantly attempting to defeat legislators who support Ohio business owners and elect candidates who will support their liberal agendas. It is critical that we support our friends in state government or we’ll find that we no longer have any!

Can I use corporate funds to contribute?

No. State law prohibits corporate contributions to Political Action Committees. ORMA PAC can only legally accept individual contributions made by personal check or personal credit card.

How do I contribute?
